Gassho! The South Florida 3 day Shorinji Kempo Seminar was held December 1-3, 2017. Tondo sensei and VanAnh hosted one of the best events of the year. 15 students participated from a multitude of branches. Jay Fritz took his 2nd dan exam and passed ! ! Kyu and Dan kenshi practiced their techniques. Cruz Sensei came from Quad Cities branch with Corinne kenshi who is readily preparing for her Shodan. One family (John and Taylor Kennan sensei from North Carolina branch) drove 11 hours to attend the Florida seminar.
We were fortunate to practice in 3 different locations, making the event even more fun! Hagata sensei taught core and advanced Shorinji Kempo techniques. A leadership and Health seminar was held on Saturday/Sunday that focused on improving one-self in and outside of the dojo environment.
A big Thanks goes to Tondo sensei / VanAnh and our hero Tanya Culp who provided such a great location to practice on the veranda overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
A great opportunity to make new friends and build stronger relationships. Eating Cuban, Italian, Indian, American and Japanese food each night was excellent!!
