少林寺拳法オレンジカウンティ支部は2019年6月29、30日の二日間、カリフォルニア州モントレー市で行われた、少林寺拳法ユニティ・スタディセッションに参加してきました。このセミナーは、技法および哲学的知識を深く分析し議論、共有できたという点において、最も価値のあるセミナーの1つでした。坂下 充先生（WSKOインストラクター・金剛禅総本山少林寺拳法7段）は指導者として豊富な知識お持ちなだけでなく、寛容さと謙虚さも兼ね備えた人間的にも素晴らしい先生でした。技術面においては各技法の重要な点を的確に説明していただけたので、体系ごとに次の技への流れもよく理解することができました。金剛禅とダーマに関する書物を多く読むことはできますが、法階講座で坂下先生が日々の生活に関連づけて説明してくださったことにより、私たちはあらためてその教えの重要性に気づきました。私たちの日常生活の中にも金剛禅の教えを取り入れていきたいと思います。今回のセミナーにご尽力いただいた先生方を始め、ボランティアスタッフの皆様に感謝いたします。

Gassho! Orange County Shorinji Kempo branch attended the Monterey Seminar June 29th-30th , 2019. The seminar was one of the most worthwhile experiences, in terms of sharing technical and philosophical knowledge with profound analytical discussions. Mr. Mitsuru Sakashita Sensei (WSKO Instructor Kongo Zen Sohonzan Shorinji Kempo 7th Dan) is an extremely knowledgeable individual, whose open-mindedness and humility only exemplifies his true value as a sensei. His technical explanations were well founded and continuously lead to the importance of each subsequent techniques. While we have read much about the historical and philosophical aspects regarding Kongo Zen and Dharma, it was not until Sakashita Sensei explained in detail the day to day life examples that we were enlightened to the significance of the teachings. It is through these invaluable examples that help encourage us to incorporate such behaviors in our daily life.
Thank you to all the teachers and volunteer staff that made this seminar so successful.
