Gassho! All Students and Parents,

We posted the below message on Facebook and forwarding it to all students/families to enjoy in the camaraderie.

Congratulations to all the students of the Orange County Shorinji Kempo branch that passed 29 Kyu and 12 Black belt 1st and 2nd degree examinations. The black belt students ranged from 10 to 51 years old. The youngest ever Orange County grown black belt honor goes to Lauren Pham who is also the recipient winner of the 2017 World Taikai Poster Contest. Lauren has been diligently practicing Shorinji Kempo for the past 5 years and is passionate about learning. Her eagerness to help others sets a precedence for all of us to follow. Accolades also go to Nicholas, Lily T, Isaiah, Emily, Lana, Sydni, Thomas, Connor, Scott and Lily D for their never give up positive attitude!!

Achieving a black belt gives us a sense of accomplishment and means to live each day with confidence. Black belt students have developed both the physical/mental skills to become responsible members of society. Being able to stay focused for the many years of discipline readily transfers to the students work ethic outside of Shorinji Kempo. Keep up the great work and continue to learn at each level of your journey in Shorinji Kempo!!! “EFFORT NEVER LIES”.

Gassho!
